GALLERY OF WORKS
"INTO THE LIGHT, Faces of Peru"
Galleries 1-4.
For me these photographs represent
more than just the exotic beauty of Peru. I see them as
having historical and anthropological value of indian culture
in Peru. I did not make them with that intention, but rather
I looked at it as a purely artistic undertaking (a self
assignment).
However you choose to look at these photographs I hope they
give you as much pleasure as the have given me.
"Colors of the Heart" in Galleries
5 - 8.
This is work that is more closely connected to feelings and emotions. The galleries are a compilation of images that I found interesting on many levels. The photographs in these
galleries were done in the traditional way in the studio and some were light painted,
while others were done on location or during personal travel.
What I have tried to do with each of the photographic images
captured here is to not merely record, but rather
through the photographic process of careful exposure, development,
and finally the mastering of the finished Fine Art Print
render the emotion of the moment as I felt it. For me producing
a fine print that expresses feeling about the subject
will always far out weigh what ever value the photograph
might have as a historical or journalistic document. Yet,
they are documents, of places, landscapes and people that
will not much longer remain as they are. The world is an ever changing place.
All prints are signed and produced from high resolution
digital scans of camera film or digital camera RAW files. Prints are produced on archival
quality "Harman" fiber based baryta paper, using the finest pigment based inks. Please see "ORDER DETAILS"
for more information.
Enjoy,
